Sam Retsinas Sam Retsinas, 90, of Burnsville, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on July 23, 2012. Retsinas is preceded in death by his son, Peter and infant daughter, Joan. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mary; children, Elena (Mike) May, Mary Elizabeth (Bill) Taber, and Nitza (Rockney) Atz; grandchildren, Athena, Rachel, Mickey, Sam, and Polly; siblings, James (Nora) Retsinas, Nitza Koplos, Georgia Sakas, Bess Geinopolos, and Alice (John) Koinis; and by other relatives and friends including his longtime business partner, Howard Burgdorf. A memorial service is planned for the fall of 2012. Interment will take place at Fort Snelling Cemetery.  Source:
