Editor's note: Each week, Burnsville Patch will post the profile of a child on the waiting list for a mentor through Kids 'n Kinship, an Apple Valley-based organization that matches kids in the south metro with adult mentors.

Interests: Diva loves to swim, do arts and crafts, play barbies, roller skate and play soccer.

Personality: Diva is very artistic—she likes to sing and dance, and loves fashion and getting her nails done.

Goals/Dreams: Diva would like to learn how to catch butterflies—she has already caught a frog. 

Looking For: She is looking for a couple to mentor her.

For More Information: Diva is one of almost 60 children waiting for a mentor through , a private nonprofit serving Apple Valley, Burnsville, Eagan, Farmington, Lakeville and Rosemount in Dakota County for 39 years. If you're interested in becoming a mentor, you're invited to attend an information session from 6 to 6:45 p.m. Sept. 20 at the Wescott Library in Eagan. Mentors can volunteer as individuals, couples, or families for weekly fun and enriching activities at home or in the community on their own schedules.
