UPDATE: Convicted Sex Offender Found

The Savage Police Department announced that Kenneth Wade Googe has been taken into custody.

UPDATE: Kenneth Wade Googe, a registered sex offender who failed to register, has been taken into custody by authorities in Scott County.

May 30: Local authorities are seeking a sex offender who has recently dropped off their radar.

Kenneth Wade Googe, Jr. is required to register and notify the law enforcement whenever he changes address. In December of 2010, the 21-year-old was convicted of a third-degree sex crime, a felony offense involving a victim aged 13 to 15 years old.

According to the Savage Pacer, Googe's last known residence was the Quality Inn at 4601 Highway 13 in Savage. On April 27, when the Savage PD issued a tresspassing notice and removed him from the Quality Inn. His whereabouts have been unknown since May 2.

Since that time, Googe has failed to report any new address to his probation officer. He has also missed several probation meetings and urine analysis appointments—all of which violate the terms of his predatory offender registration. Googe now faces a new felony charge in Scott County District Court: Knowingly violating the terms of his predatory offender registration, a felony. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.

The Savage PD has reason to believe that Googe is living in Burnsville. Anyone with information about his whereabouts should call the Savage Police Department at 952-882-2600.
