These Burnsville Restaurants Closed In 2020: Report

BURNSVILLE, MN — We all know that 2020 was a hectic year for many, especially local businesses. The Star Tribune reported in December that 94 Twin Cities restaurants closed in 2020, including a restaurant in Woodbury.

With more and more people getting vaccinated, restaurants have finally begun to open up but two Burnsville restaurants announced in 2020 that they would not be reopening after the pandemic.

Roasted Pear announced in June 2020 that it would be closing with the following statement on its Facebook page:

"We are deeply saddened to announce: due to Covid-19, Roasted Pear is unable to reopen.

Past months were filled with countless hours of planning and researching any way possible to open up to the community, but there is no viable path forward.

Burger Jones also would never re-open, closing its doors in November 2020.

"We regret to announce that Burger Jones Burnsville will be closing its doors for good on Sunday, November 8th at 7 pm," its website reads. "Thank you for supporting us through the years!"
