Tuesday

• Downton Abbey Etiquette: Learn how to hold your fork, set your hat and engage in polite intrigues the way the Dowager Countess of Grantham would. The  invites "Downton" enthusiasts aged 10 to 18 to "immerse themselves in the world of Downtown Abbey and learn the etiquette of proper introductions, table manners, conversation and more." The event will be presented by the Minnesota Historical Society. It runs from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Registration required

Wednesday

• Library Olympics: The Burnhaven Library invites kids aged 5 to 12 to participate in the "Library Olympics"—which features events like a Balloon Race, Straw Javelin Throw, and Banana Relays at the Library Olympics. The games begin at 10:30 a.m.

• Arabesque: The Burnhaven Library will be showing this classic film from 1966, featuring the fabulous Sophia Loren in a starring role. This film is not rated. Admission is free. The movie starts at 2 p.m.

• Free Concert: Ticket to Brasil will be performing at this week's Wednesday in the Park Concert Series. The concert is scheduled to be held outdoors at the Civic Center Amphitheater, with a backup location at Nicollet Jr. High in case of rain. Audience members are asked to bring a non-perishable food item donation to exchange for a Pepsi-product soft drink. The concert starts at 7 p.m. To see a full schedule of summer music and movies, . 

• Burnsville Performing Arts Center Advisory Commission: The commission will be meeting at city hall in the council's chambers. The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m.

• Stomp N' Dixie: This free ragtime concert will begin at 7 p.m. at McColl Pond ELC, 13550 Dakota Ave.

Thursday

• Thursday Rockin’ Lunch Hour: This week's lunch hour entertainment will be provided by Dazzling Dave YO-YO Master and Sky Oaks Principal  Kay Fecke, who will read a story to the little ones. • Minnesota River Arts Fair: This juried art fair will run for two days. It features local artists. The show runs from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Minnesota River Heritage Park, (formerly Murphy's Landing), 2187 Hwy. 101 East, in Shakopee. For more information go to mnriverartsfair.org.
