• Burnsville Performing Arts Center Commission: The commission meets at the at 6:30 p.m.

Thursday

• Kindness in a Ziplock: This Thursday, musician Heatherlyn and the  are teaming up to help the homeless and they would like you to join in. At 6:30 p.m. residents are invited to come to the cafe to enjoy music and help create "Love in the Glovebox Bundles" — care packages for the homeless we encouter every day on street corners and sidewalks.

• "Blithe Spirit:" Burnsville High School presents this Noel Coward classic, a comedy about cranky Charles Condomine and his feisty, persistent, dead wife Elvira.

"Blithe Spirit" is in its second week, with showtimes from Thursday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Find more information and order tickets at www.mrazcentertickets.com.

Rosalux Artist Collective: The prestigious gallery will show some key works south of the river at the BPAC, beginning this Thursday. The show is free and runs until January 14, 2012.

Friday

•Holiday Craft and Bake Sale: From Friday through Sunday, the Buzz Coffee & Cafe will have local handicrafts and bakes goods on display. The sale starts at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.

• The Nutcracker: This weekend the Twin Cities Ballet of Minnesota will present its annual full-length production of Denise Vogt’s The Nutcracker Ballet at the BPAC.

Showtimes are: Friday at 7:00 p.m., Saturday at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., and Sunday at 1:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Tickets for the orchestra area are $26 for adults and $21 for seniors and children under 12. Balcony seating costs $16 for adults and $12 for seniors and children under 12.
