All local major retailers and supermarkets will be open on Labor Day including Cub Foods, Walgreens, Rainbow Foods, Super Target, Wal-Mart, Lowe's, Menards and Home Depot.

Schulze Lake Beach at Lebanon Hills Regional Park in Eagan will be open for the last day of the season on Labor Day from 10 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Labor Day is the last day of the . It's Kids Day, so admission for kids ages 5-12 is $7. The Fair closes at 10 p.m. on Monday - note that the animal barns close at 3 p.m. on the last day.
First day of school for most public schools in the Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District is Tuesday, Sept. 6. There are exceptions, notably Burnsville High School and Nicollet Junior High.
At Nicollet Junior High School, only 7th grade students will show up for first period on Sept. 6, which will give them a day to adjust to their new school. All students will report to Nicollet beginning on Sept. 7.
Likewise at Burnsville High School, where only 10th grade students will attend on Sept. 6 for an orientation. Regular school hours will begin on Sept. 7.
All kindergarten students will start school on Thursday, Sept. 8.
