• All 3 defendants convicted in Coon Rapids triple homicide (hometownsource.com) — Residents should know that all three people charged in the January 2024 triple homicide at a home on 94th Avenue Northwest in Coon Rapids have now been convicted of murder. Two defendants have already been sentenced or appealed, and the third is set for sentencing in Anoka County District Court in early January 2026, with life imprisonment required under state law.
   

• 4 Anoka-Hennepin high schools to hold 2026 commencement at U.S. Bank Stadium (hometownsource.com) — Families with Coon Rapids High School seniors in 2026 should plan for graduation at U.S. Bank Stadium on Sunday, May 31, after the University of Minnesota stopped hosting ceremonies at Mariucci.
