Adam Zimmer Died Of Chronic Alcohol Use, Hennepin Co. Examiner Rules
The 38-year-old NFL assistant coach was discovered dead on Oct. 31 in his home in Mendota Heights.

MENDOTA HEIGHTS, MN — Adam Zimmer, a former Minnesota Vikings co-defensive coordinator and the son of former head coach Mike Zimmer, died from chronic alcohol use, according to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner.
The manner of death was "natural," the examiner's office said.
The 38-year-old was discovered dead on Oct. 31 in his home on the 2500 block of Condon Court in Mendota Heights.

After he and his father were fired from the Vikings in January, Adam Zimmer was hired as an offensive analyst for the Cincinnati Bengals. He was working for the team remotely.
Corri Zimmer announced the news of her brother's death over social media last month. She also asked people to "pray for our family" in a tribute to him on Instagram.

After his death, Adam Zimmer's body was taken to Moore Crematory in Arlington, Texas.
