Alcohol Involved In Deadly Wrong-Way Crash In Eagan: State Patrol
One man is dead and three other people are fighting for their lives following a wrong-way crash on Interstate 35E on Saturday.
EAGAN, MN — Alcohol was involved in Saturday's wrong-way crash that killed one person and seriously injured three others in Eagan, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Just after midnight, a GMC Yukon hauling a boat was traveling southbound on Interstate 35E.
At the same time, a 2000 Toyota Celica entered I-35E the wrong way from Cliff Road, going northbound in the southbound lanes, authorities said.

Immediately after entering the highway, the Toyota crashed head-on with the GMC, according to investigators.
Nraughli Vang, 28, of South St. Paul was identified as the driver of the wrong-way Toyota. Vang was transported to Regions Hospital, where he died.

Alcohol was detected in Vang's system, authorities said.
All three people in the GMC — including a 60-year-old woman, a 25-year-old woman, and a 57-year-old man — suffered "life-threatening injuries" and were also taken to Regions Hospital.
Eagan police and fire, M Health Ambulance, and MnDOT assisted the state patrol in responding to the crash.
