• Jonathan Greenard to Undergo Season-Ending Shoulder Surgery (statenews.net) — From Eagan, where the Vikings are based, the team announced that captain and outside linebacker Jonathan Greenard will undergo season-ending shoulder surgery after reinjuring it in Dallas. Despite Minnesota’s slim playoff hopes already being gone, coaches praised Greenard’s leadership and impact, noting he led the team in quarterback hurries and played through pain before opting for surgery. 
• Minnetonka resident joins Minnesota Chamber Board of Directors (hometownsource.com) — A major statewide business summit was held in Eagan on Nov. 19, where the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce introduced new board members and officers. Minnetonka resident and Cargill leader Gabe Afolayan joined the Chamber’s Board, which helps shape advocacy and economic policy affecting businesses and workers across Minnesota, including those in Eagan.
• 'Survivor' finalist from Minnesota said she narrowly avoided Brown University shooting (bringmethenews.com) — An Eagan-raised Brown University graduate student and recent “Survivor 48” finalist says she left the campus building where a deadly shooting occurred just minutes before gunfire began. Now living in Rhode Island, she spent hours on lockdown and is urging stronger action to protect college students from campus shootings while mourning the loss of two classmates.
