Rep. Angie Craig Throws Cold Water On Biden Running In 2024: Report
Another Minnesota Democrat has thrown cold water on the idea of President Joe Biden running again in 2024.

REDWOOD COUNTY, MN — U.S. Rep. Angie Craig Tuesday called for "new leaders" when she was asked at Farmfest about President Joe Biden running again in 2024.
"I would say we need new leaders in Washington up and down the ballot in the Democratic Party," Craig told MinnPost.
Craig's geographically diverse district stretches from the southern portion of the Twin Cities metro — including suburbs like Eagan and West St. Paul — down to Plainview in rural southern Minnesota.

Craig is the second Minnesota Democrat to throw cold water on the idea of President Joe Biden running again in 2024. Last week, Rep. Dean Phillips — who comes from the west Twin Cities metro — said in no uncertain terms that Biden should not run for president in 2024.
Phillips and Craig the first Democrats in Congress to come out against the idea of Biden running for a second term. However, their views appear to be in line with the Democratic rank and file.

A recent CNN poll found that 75 percent of Democratic voters want the party to nominate someone besides Biden for the 2024 election.
With the crucial midterm elections just months away, Biden is suffering from dismal approval ratings. According to FiveThirtyEight, more than 55 percent of Americans disapprove of the job he is doing as president.
