Back to School: Eagan District 196 2022-23 School Calendar

EAGAN, MN — Back-to-school planning has already begun in the Eagan area, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in the Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan School District 196.

The first day of school for your student will depend on which grade they are in:

• Aug. 29-30: Kindergarten transition days
• Aug. 31: First day of school for grades 6-12
• Sept. 6: First day of school for grades 1-5
• Sept. 7: First full day of kindergarten

As of now, District 196 has no plans to require masks in school, regardless of vaccination status.

Here is the list of other dates to know for this school year:

• Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 24-25
• Winter Break: Dec. 23-Jan.2
• Spring Break: March 27-31
• Last Day: June 7
