Best Twin Cities School Districts: Where ISD 196 Ranks

DAKOTA COUNTY, MN — Niche recently released its list of the best school districts in the Twin Cities for 2022.

ISD 196 ranked #10 in best school districts in the Minneapolis-St. Paul Area and #2 in best school districts in Dakota County.

The district received an overall grade of A from Niche, and #12 in best districts in the state.

• Food: B-
• Diversity: B+
• College Prep: A+
• Health and Safety: A-
• Sports: A
• Resources and Facilities: C+

"The Best School Districts ranking is based on rigorous analysis of academic and student life data from the U.S. Department of Education along with test scores, college data, and ratings collected from millions of Niche users," the website said.

The #1 district on the list was Minnetonka Public School District, which earned an overall grade of A+.
