Binge Drinking: How MN 2nd District Compares To Rest Of State, Nation

EAGAN, MN — Adults living in Minnesota's Second Congressional District tend to binge drink more than most Americans, according to a new data tool from New York University's Grossman School of Medicine.

Just over 23 percent of adults in the district reported binge drinking in the past 30 days. The national average is 17.9 percent of adults.

The Congressional District Health Dashboard reveals data on health issues such as smoking, drinking, obesity, and more for each United States House district in the entire country.

Minnesota's sixth district, which encompasses the suburbs and small towns north of the Twin Cities metro, has the highest reported rate of binge drinking.
