Blotter, Part II: Over 60 Blackberries Burgled from Blue Cross & Blue Shield
Also in this week's blotter: A stranger with candy, some contraband chickens, and 700 marijuana plants.

Higher ups at Blue Cross & Blue Shield recently discovered that 64 Blackberries were stolen from an unsecured room on the second floor of the Eagan office. The total value of the missing mobile devices is over $34,000. It is unknown precisely when the theft occurred, but company officials reported that it must have happened some time between Aug. 9 and Sept. 13.

The trailer was sitting at a job site near Clemson Court and Thomas Lake Road. It had no license plate on it, and apparently had been bought by someone else during the interim. The current owner was not aware that it had perhaps been stolen and had the bill of sale handy. Minneapolis dispatch could not find any information confirming or denying the caller's story.
- 4:41 p.m.—Woman called to report that her pregnant 21-year-old daughter had run off after a domestic dispute. The woman told dispatch that her daughter had abused a baby earlier that day and was seen slapping, pinching, shaking, punching and biting the infant. The daughter fled after her mother intervened.
- 5:07 p.m.—Woman seen laying in her vehicle in a cul-de-sac near Kirkwood and Maple Leaf Circle, apparently drunk. The keys were found on the ground, and the door to the Chevy Equinox was open. - 10:25 a.m.—Suspicious activity reported on the 900 block of Gentian Road. About an hour before the call, an employee asked her supervisor if she could leave briefly to speak with her ex in the parking lot. The woman said she was worried that he might become violent. The suspect wanted to keep the ring, however. After a bit of back and forth it was discovered that the object in question was not a ring at all, but an empty keychain. "Male may have mental health issues," the report concludes.
- 3:53 p.m.—Shirtless man in a tan SUV asked children standing at a bus stop near Elrene and Great Oaks Trail if they wanted candy.

- 10:41 p.m.—Fight at the gas pumps at Superamerica on Cliff Road. The combatants were two black males. The conflict seems to have been limited to shoving. Both taken into custody, along with a female who tried to break it up. The three could face a variety of charges—DWI, possession of drug paraphernalia, etc.
