Community Plants Pollinator Garden At Caponi Art Park: Report

EAGAN, MN — Eagan Kick-Start Rotary Club and City of Eagan recently helped plant a pollinator garden at Caponi Art Park, according to a post from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
The pollinator garden was in partnership with Caponi Art Park, Eagan Rotary Club, City of Eagan and the Fish and Wildlife Service, the post said.
Rotary club members began looking for ways to reverse the decline of pollinator populations in Eagan after hosting a speaker from U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, according to the post. Cheryl Caponi, a rotary club member, volunteered space at Caponi Art Park for the pollinator garden, the post said.

Over 420 native plants were planted in the garden, including 70 percent flowering perennials and 30 percent grasses, according to U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
