📰 News we're reading

• The old oak tree in Bloomington shines brightly once again (hometownsource.com) — A Bloomington assisted living home operator that also runs a site in Eagan has revived the beloved “Lighted Oak” holiday tree along Meadowview Road after a 10‑year hiatus. The owners invested over $20,000 and 40,000 LED lights, and are seeking community donations so the towering display overlooking the Minnesota River Valley can continue as an annual tradition.

• Vikings Employee Groups ‘Inspire Change' Through Volunteer Efforts (vikings.com) — Vikings staff based in Eagan are spending December volunteering with Twin Cities nonprofits as part of the NFL’s “Inspire Change” social justice initiative. Employee Resource Groups organized a Week of Service that let workers from across departments support historically underrepresented communities while strengthening their own connections as teammates.
