Construction Begins On Diffley Road: City

The road will close in early June.

EAGAN, MN— Construction began Monday on Diffley Road as part of the Diffley Road School Area Safety Improvements project, the city of Eagan said.

Diffley Road will close June 7, the city said.

The project will narrow Diffley Road to two lanes of traffic, one in each direction, the city said. It will also add:

  • Two single-lane round-a-bouts at Daniel Drive and Braddock Trail
  • Improved pedestrian crossing
  • A trail connecting Braddock trail to the south parking lot
  • New access to Dakota Hills Middle School and Eagan High School's south parking lot from Daniel Drive
  • Better circulation in the Dakota Hills Middle School, Eagan High School and Northview Elementary School parking lots

The project is scheduled to be finished in the late fall of 2021 and aims to improve safety for pedestrians and bicyclists, the city said.
