Dakota County COVID-19 Cases Rise, Deaths And Hospitalizations Fall
Serious cases of COVID-19 appear to be on the decline in Dakota County.
DAKOTA COUNTY, MN — While cases of COVID-19 have slightly risen in Dakota County, the number of deaths and hospitalizations continue to fall.
The County posted that in the past week, confirmed cased of COVID-19 have risen to 241-a 26 percent increase.
There were only four COVID-19 related deaths last week, which is a decrease of 20 percent, the county said. Hospitalizations fell by eight percent, decreasing to 11, according to the county.

Dakota County also reported that hospital beds are opening up- as of Thursday, there were 19 adult and 12 pediatric Metro ICU staffed beds available.
"As always, if you feel sick, please stay home and get tested as soon as possible," the county said. "Getting vaccinated/boosted is the most effective way to prevent getting sick/hospitalized."
