The Eagan Community Foundation sponsored 20 low-income kids in fourth grade at Rahn Elementary School to participate in the Young Builders Design and Build Program, Kelley said.

The school's principal sponsored an additional class at Rahn Elementary, allowing two total classes to participate, Kelley said. The program through the school began in October and will go through November.

The workshops will run through November and upcoming dates include Oct. 22 and 29.

In both the program at Rahn Elementary and the workshops at Eagan Community Center, kids will participate in a "futuristic design competition" and compete to have their models in the window at the Lego® store, Kelley said.
