Eagan To Celebrate National Public Works Week With 'Big Rig Rally'
The event will be held Thursday at 4 p.m. at the city's Central Maintenance Facility.
EAGAN, MN — The city of Eagan announced that in honor of National Public Works Week, it is holding its annual Big Rig Rally on Thursday.
The event will take place from 4-7 p.m. at Central Maintenance Facility, located at 3501 Coachman Point Road, the city said. There will be free parking at Oak Hills Church, according to the city of Eagan.
Residents will be able to climb inside city vehicles such as plow trucks, dump trucks, street sweepers, fire trucks, police cars, mowers, a garbage truck and more, the city said.

The city of Eagan is asking guests to bring non-perishable food items that will be donated to The Open Door Food Pantry.
"We look forward to this event each year to not-only celebrate the impact of public works, but also to connect with our community, especially the youngest ones," Eagan’s Director of Public Works Russ Matthys said. "Big Rig Rally allows everyone to have some fun and learn about what we do, and the see the pride we take in providing these essential services."
