Eagan, MN — The Eagan Lions Club partnered with the Minnesota Lions KidSight team in October to provide vision screenings for all 7th- and 10th-grade students in District 196, ensuring local youth receive early detection of potential vision challenges. Over a 10-day period, volunteers screened 4,023 students across the district.

The project was coordinated by three District 196 school nurses and supported by a dedicated team of 10 Eagan Lions Club members, 5 Lions from East Metro clubs, and 5 community volunteers. Their combined efforts made it possible to efficiently reach every student in these grade levels.

“This project is one of the most fast-paced and rewarding service opportunities our club participates in each year,” said the Eagan Lions Club. “KidSight aligns directly with the Lions’ mission to preserve vision and bring critical vision resources to our community.”
