According to the criminal complaint, Eagan police were called to a home in the 4500 block of Villa Drive on June 11 for a welfare check at the request of another agency. “It had been reported by another agency that … criminal sexual conduct … had occurred, and there were juveniles present in the home,” the complaint says.
Police spoke with Bundy’s wife, who said he had gone out with their son. Police called Bundy on his cell phone, and Bundy agreed to drop his son off at another relative’s home.

Bundy’s wife told police that Bundy had had sexual contact with a 12-year-old boy. She told police that Bundy admitted to her that he had “inappropriately touched” the boy, who was visiting their home in May.
Bundy’s wife said her husband had told her that he wanted to turn himself in and “get help,” according to the complaint.
Bundy also told the child’s mother about the inappropriate sexual conduct, the complaint says. The child was taken to a doctor and told medical personnel that Bundy had performed oral sex on him and asked the child to reciprocate, but he refused, according to the complaint.
