Eagan Playwright Staging Show at 2013 Fringe Festival
Eagan resident Kevin Bowen is partnering with author Mark Forgy to bring his book "The Forger's Apprentice" to life on stage.

Eagan playwright Kevin Bowen will debut an adaptation of the "The Forger's Apprentice," a book by Mark Forgy, at the 2013 Minnesota Fringe Festival.
Bowen, who cut his teeth at the 2009 Fringe Festival with his original work, "The Red Tureen," partnered with Forgy and composer Martha Davis to produce the new show. "The Forger's Apprentice" details the story of Elmyr de Hory, "the world's most successful art forger, and his two apprentices; one who wants to destroy him, and the other who seeks to protect him.
The production features actors John W. Olive, Jason Garton, Nick Wolf, Meri Golder, Stacey Lee Sogard, Paul Steffens and Nick James. Performances begin on Aug. 3 and run through Aug. 11, and will be held at the University of Minnesota's Rarig Center Thrust Stage at 330 21st Ave. S.
