October 27

Police responded to a report of criminal sexual conduct in the 2700 block of Pilot Knob Road.

A caller at Interstate 494 and Pilot Knob Road reported that a man displayed a knife during a “traffic argument.” The caller reported the suspect’s license number and police said they would check the address.

A caller in the 2000 block of Royale Drive reported that someone stole a bag of leaves out of a yard.

A caller in the 4700 block of Burr Oak Street reported that his credit card company called, inquiring about a change of address that he hadn’t made. The caller said his card was used three times for unauthorized charges of more than $2,100.

An employee of Cub Foods in the 1900 block of Cliff Lake Road reported a juvenile shoplifter in custody after the boy stole three pizzas worth $12.98. Police tracked down the boy’s mother in Rochester; the boy was cited for theft and given permission to drive back to Rochester.

A caller in the 1800 block of Narvik Court reported that someone was banging on her front and back doors and ringing the doorbell. She told police she didn’t know the man and didn’t see any cars outside. While she was on the phone with a dispatcher, the man began knocking on her second-floor bedroom window; the caller was “crying and scared,” then yelled, “Get out of my  house!” before the line went dead. Police arrived and discovered that the suspect was trying to find his sister’s house and went to the wrong place. He was cited for trespassing and released to his sister.

October 28

A caller in the 3000 block of Holiday Lane told police that her ex-boyfriend had hit her on the head with a vase, damaged her car with the vase then fled into nearby woods. Police contacted the Minnesota State Patrol and requested a helicopter to assist in their search; a Bloomington K-9 officer was also called. Police set up a perimeter, the K-9 officer found the suspect lying in the woods. He was arrested.

Employees at a domestic violence shelter in the 1500 block of Thomas Lake Pointe Road reported that a new resident who was reportedly suicidal had not returned to the shelter. Police learned that the woman was no longer living at the shelter.

Police stopped a motorist at Cliff Drive and Nicols Road and cited him for fourth-degree DWI.

A caller at Cedar Avenue and Cliff Road told police that she thought she had hit a deer while driving her Ford Escort, but she didn’t see the animal and wasn’t sure. When police arrived, the deer was gone.

A caller in the 3800 block of Laurel Court reported that her husband, from whom she is separated, had been harassing her by telephone and in person. She told police that she planned to get a protection order against him.

A caller in the 1700 block of Flamingo Drive reported two young girls, about 2 or 3 years old, walking on Silver Bell Road. The youngest child was barefoot and both were pushing doll strollers. Police found the children’s father, who said he had fallen asleep in a chair, and the two girls had gone for a walk by themselves. “He was very apologetic,” the report noted.

A caller in the 4500 block of Slater Road reported that someone keyed a car overnight in an apartment complex parking lot.

A caller in the 3200 block of Evergreen Drive reported that someone broke into a vehicle overnight and stole a phone charger and a laptop computer.

A caller in the 1800 block of Taconite Trail reported that someone broke into a vehicle overnight and stole a purse and a checkbook.

Police stopped a motorist in the 1300 block of Town Centre Drive and cited the driver for driving without a license and on an outstanding warrant.

A caller in the 1300 block of Wescott Road reported a vehicle hitting the curb several times while parking at the Wescott Library. Police cited the woman.

A caller at Corporate Center Drive and Eagandale Place reported two students fighting on a bus, then one kicking open the bus door to get away from his assailant. One juvenile was arrested and will be charged with assault.

A caller in the 3300 block of Heritage Lane reported that her daughter had been gone for two nights with her 16-month-old son. She said her daughter had no money and the child had no shoes, jacket or car seat, and she wasn’t sure they were eating. The caller said the child’s father had been fighting with her daughter, and that he had threatened her. Police sent out an alert to check on the woman and the child.

A caller in the 2000 block of Silver Bell Road reported that someone smashed out a vehicle window in the parking lot of a chiropractic clinic.

Police cited a motorist in the 1300 block of Town Centre Drive for illegally parking in a handicapped spot.

An employee of City Wide Electric in the 3000 block of Highway 13 reported that someone stole a small utility trailer valued at $4,000 from the business.

A caller in the 3900 block of Boston Court reported that a friend of her son’s was at her home, and she knew he had an outstanding arrest warrant. Police determined that the boy was a juvenile runaway with a warrant for felony credit-card fraud. He was transported to juvenile detention.

A caller in the 1900 block of Bear Path Trail reported an argument between a couple, and said the woman was a victim of sexual, physical and verbal abuse by her husband. Police advised the woman to seek assistance from domestic abuse counselors and told her to call 911 if she needed help.

A caller in the 2000 block of Kings Road reported that her 14-year-old son had pushed her while she was trying to leave her bedroom. Police spoke to the boy, who agreed to stay in his room for the night and play a game.

A caller in the 1000 block of Keefe Street reported that a 12-year-old boy was receiving three to four phone calls a day from a restricted number and had gotten between 30 and 40 calls within a week. Verizon would not release the suspect’s information to police without an administrative subpoena.

A caller at Mica Trail and Pumice Lane reported a large house party involving a number of juveniles, some of them fighting in the street. Police broke up the gathering.
