Eagan Police Officer Talks Suicidal Teen Off Interstate Ledge: 'We're Here to Help You'
A local officer recently recounted the rescue of a suicidal teenager.

Eagan police officer Joe Moseng and his colleagues knew they might not have much time when they responded earlier this month to a 911 call about a teenage girl who was poised to jump onto Interstate 35E.
“There’s nothing that you can really say in that moment,” Moseng said, in a CBS local interview. “Alls I could do is just tell her it was OK.”
The 17-year-old girl hopped a fence on Monday, July 18 that cordons off the Diffley Road Bridge from the Interstate, the story says. Moseng was able to coerce her off the ledge, he said, after which she was taken to the hospital for a mental evaluation.
