EAGAN, MN — An incoming storm is set to dump between 2 and 6 inches of snow in Eagan on Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.

The timing of the snowstorm is "unfortunate," the NWS said, because commuters will face messy roads during both the morning and evening commutes.

Overnight: Snow likely, mainly after 5am. Cloudy, with a low around 29. South southwest wind around 5 mph becoming north after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Tuesday: Snow, mainly before 5pm. The snow could be heavy at times. Temperature falling to around 28 by 5pm. North wind 5 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of 4 to 8 inches possible.
