Eagan Under 'Winter Weather Advisory': NWS

There is also a Hazardous Weather Outlook in place warning of windchills that could reach -20 to -30 degrees.

EAGAN, MN — National Weather Service announced that Dakota County is under a Winter Weather Advisory until 6 p.m. Tuesday night.

Snow accumulations of up to two inches, as well as ice accumulation is possible, NWS said. This could cause slippery road conditions and impact evening commute.

NWS encourages those who are traveling to slow down and use caution.

Dakota County is also under a Hazardous Weather Outlook, with NWS predicting snow accumulation and a "dangerously cold" wind chill of -20 to -30 degrees Wednesday morning. The wind chills will continue through Friday and into this weekend, NWS said.

Here's a look at weather for Tuesday and Wednesday:

Tuesday: 1-3 inches of snow will fall before 4 p.m., before becoming snow and a freezing drizzle. The high will be 25 degrees.

Tuesday night: 20 percent chance of snow between 7-8 p.m., with a low of -2 degrees and wind chills of -13 degrees.

Wednesday: The high will be 8 degrees with a wind chill of -14.

Wednesday night: Mostly cloudy, temperatures will stay around 6 degrees.
