ISD 196 Names Principal For Northview Elementary
Current principal Kerri Town is retiring at the end of the year.

EAGAN, MN — ISD 196 announced that it has named a new principal for Northview Elementary School in Eagan.
Melissa Griffin will begin her new position July 1, the district said. She is replacing Kerri Town who is retiring at the end of the year, according to the district.
Griffin has been assistant administrator at the school since 2019, and before that was a teacher and interventionist in ISD 196 since 2012, the district said. Before coming to ISD 196, Griffin taught in California and Washington for 14 years, according to the district.

"I have been fortunate to be part of the Northview community for the last three years and am excited for the opportunity to serve as principal,” Griffin said. “Northview is a caring community of staff and families who work together to provide opportunities for each student to grow and succeed.”
Griffin has a Bachelor's degree in elementary education from St. Cloud State University, a Master's degree in education from California State University, East Bay and her specialist's degree in education and her K-12 principal licensure from Minnesota State University, Mankato, according to ISD 196.
