Kline Hosting Regional Job Fair in Eagan

The expo will include major businesses from Kline's Congressional District and beyond, as Minnesota's economy continues its upswing after the 2008 crash.

Minnesota Congressman John Kline will host a Career and Jobs Fair from 9 a.m.to 1 p.m., Monday, July 15 at the Eagan Community Center. The career and jobs fair is free and open to the public.

“I am pleased to host a jobs fair that will provide direct assistance to Minnesotans who are among the millions of Americans looking for a job,” said Kline, the Chairman of the House Education and the Workforce Committee. “Too many Minnesotans have been out of work for more than several months, wages are stagnant, and the unemployment rate is still too high making this the weakest economic recovery in our nation’s history. I encourage constituents of the 2nd district to attend this event and share the information with anyone they know who is struggling as they navigate the uncertain economy. I hope my career and jobs fair provides new opportunities to put Minnesotans back to work.”

Scheduled to attend Kline’s career and jobs fair are several dozen private-sector employers who currently have job openings in a wide variety of fields including the health care, technology, financial, and retail industries. Employment assistance organizations and a variety of educational institutions are also scheduled to attend. Last spring, approximately 900 Minnesotans attended Kline’s career and jobs fair.
