Local Lions Club helps spread joy this Holiday Season

Eagan Lions club Lions Loving Arms Christmas giving.

The Lions Loving Arms program, led by local Lions volunteers in Eagan, Minnesota, brought holiday joy and essential support to families across District 196 through its annual Christmas Gift Giving initiative.

This year, Lions reached out to 10 elementary schools and 2 middle schools in the district and were matched with 29 families, supporting 61 children ranging in age from 2 months to 14 years.
Each participating family received:

  • A $100 Cub Foods gift card to help ensure holiday meals
  • Personalized Christmas gifts selected specifically for each child
  • A full set of new socks and underwear, generously provided through a partnership with The Drawer

More than 20 Lions volunteers came together to shop, wrap, organize, and deliver the gifts — demonstrating the power of community service and compassion during the holiday season.
“Lions serve where the need is greatest, and during the holidays, that need is both emotional and practical,” said program organizers. “We are proud to help families feel supported, seen, and cared for.”
The initiative is part of the Lions’ core commitment to Community Service, uplifting local families and strengthening partnerships with area schools and nonprofit organizations.
