Minnesota Vikings Officials Name Architect for Team's New Eagan HQ

Plans are in motion for a move to Eagan in March 2018.

The Minnesota Vikings have settled on an architecture firm for the team's new Eagan headquarters.

Crawford Architects and Kraus-Anderson Construction are heading up the the practice facility project, which will be located off Interstate 494 near the intersection of Dodd Road and Lone Oak Parkway. It is slated to open in March 2018, according to the team's website.

The headquarters will include indoor and outdoor practice fields, a stadium that accommodates 6,000 spectators, meeting rooms, and more.

“Establishing this leadership team is a major step forward on our new Eagan home,” said Steve Poppen, the executive vice president for the Minnesota Vikings. “We are thrilled to once again engage in a large project with a Minnesota-based construction company such as Kraus-Anderson, as they have a tremendous body of work and strong reputation within the community. Both Crawford Architects and Kraus-Anderson have long-standing relationships with the Vikings and together give us complete confidence in designing and building this project on time ... ”

The architecture firm is based out of Kansas City, Missouri, and Kraus-Anderson is headquartered in Minneapolis.
