EAGAN, MN — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.

This submission comes from Maxine Peterson who nominated Brady, grade 11, of Eagan.

How do you know the star local student?

I am an educator.

Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?

Brady is an active leader in our community. He’s always doing something around the school, leading food and clothing drives, starting charity events, and organizing school fundraisers. His optimism and boundless courage make it easy to ask something of him; if you have an idea or a plan for the school he is quick to say yes to helping you and dives right in.

He participates in speech, debate, theater, Youth In Government, and a bunch of other activities I don’t remember.

Yet he still manages to keep good grades, maintain a wide circle of friends, and engage in the school-wide charity work I mentioned earlier.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?

He’s a firecracker that cares about making a difference in our community

Congratulations on your achievements, and all of our best wishes to you in the future, Brady!
