EAGAN, MN — The Minnesota Vikings have hired Brian Flores as their new defensive coordinator, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
In addition to interviewing with the Vikings, Flores was also a candidate for the Denver Broncos and the Arizona Cardinals.

Flores will replace Ed Donatell, who was fired last month. The Vikings' defense gave up the third-most points in the NFL in 2022, according to Pro Football Reference.
After finishing the regular season 13-4 and clinching the NFC North division title, the Vikings lost at home to the New York Giants, 24 to 31, in the wildcard round of the playoffs.
