Jordan Addison will miss the Minnesota Vikings' season opener at Chicago and two other games.
MINNEAPOLIS — Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison has been suspended for the first three games of the 2025 NFL season for violating the league’s Substances of Abuse Policy, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Tuesday.
Addison will miss the Vikings' season opener at Chicago, followed by home games against the Atlanta Falcons and Cincinnati Bengals, Shefter noted.
Despite the suspension, Addison is permitted to fully participate in all training camp activities and preseason games without restriction.

The NFL has not released specific details about the nature of the violation.
Addison, a first-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, is entering his third season in Minnesota and was expected to play a key role alongside star receiver Justin Jefferson.

This isn’t the first off-field issue for Addison since joining the team. In 2023, he pleaded guilty to driving 140 mph in a 55 mph zone on Interstate 94 in St. Paul. His license was suspended for six months, and he paid a $686 fine.
