Northbound I-35W To Close In Burnsville This Weekend

Crews will do maintenance work on the stretch of the closed highway, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

BURNSVILLE, MN — Northbound Interstate 35W between the I-35/35E/35W split and Highway 13 in Burnsville will be closed over the weekend.

The closure will start at 10 p.m. on Friday. Crews will do maintenance work on the stretch of the closed highway, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

These ramps to northbound I-35W will also be closed starting at 9 p.m. on Friday:

  • Burnsville Parkway
  • Highway 13
  • Cliff Road

Motorists will be directed through a detour using northbound I-35E, northbound Highway 77, and I-494. Drivers are asked to avoid cutting through neighborhoods.

All lanes and ramps are set to reopen by 5 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 3, transit officials said.
