Schulze Lake In Eagan Closed After Potential Viral Outbreak
The closure affects water activities such as canoeing, kayaking, paddleboarding, and fishing. It also affects equipment rental.
EAGAN, MN — Dakota County parks officials have closed Schulze Lake at Lebanon Hills Regional Park in Eagan after a potential waterborne illness outbreak.
According to a county news release, the closure affects Schulze Beach and other water activities such as canoeing, kayaking, paddleboarding, and fishing.
Officials also closed equipment rental at the park until at least June 8. All other parts of Lebanon Hills Regional Park remain open, officials said.

According to a KARE report, officials with the Minnesota Department of Health advised the county to close the lake as a precaution to prevent the risk of exposure. State health officials will conduct a series of tests on the lake, KARE reported.
Officials did not identify a specific waterborne illness associated with the closure. They also didn't state whether anyone was sickened due to the outbreak.
