Dakota County Sheriff's Office Awarded Grant For More Body Cams: Report
The department received $170,000 from the Justice Department.
DAKOTA COUNTY, MN — The Dakota County Sheriff's Office was recently awarded a grant to purchase more body cameras, according to a report by The St. Paul Pioneer Press.
The $170,000 grant from the Justice Department will add 90 body cameras to the department, the report said.
The Sheriff's Office's body camera program started in 2020, according to the report.
