Eagan Art Block Short Film Festival Is Taking Submissions
Anyone at least 16 years old with a connection to Minnesota can enter. Films must be no longer than 40 minutes and prizes will be awarded.
EAGAN, MN — Aspiring filmmakers of all skill levels have the opportunity to showcase their work this fall at the Eagan Art Block Short Film Festival.
The screening, sponsored by Eagan Television (ETV), is the final event of Eagan Art Block – a two-week collaborative arts event that covers one square mile in the heart of Eagan. It will take place at the Eagan Emagine Theater on Sept. 25.
The early bird deadline to submit a film is July 26, and the final application deadline is Aug. 16, according to Eagan Television. Hopefuls will be told whether their film made the cut on Sept. 6.

"Filmmakers selected for screening will receive official festival emblems and swag bags," the festival's website says. "Selected filmmakers will be interviewed by ETV staff. Selected short films will also have the opportunity to be screened on ETV programming, if desired."
Anyone at least 16 years old with a connection to Minnesota can enter. Filmmakers may apply as a team of directors, but there must be a primary applicant, according to the website.

The films must have been completed within the last year, cannot be longer than 40 minutes and must be within the range of G, PG or PG-13.
A judging panel will award certificates to the winners of each category: Best of festival, writing, directing, sound and music, cinematography, and acting.
