Tornado Watch Issued For Dakota County: 'Dangerous Situation'
"This will be a good day to get home early if you can, and avoid being stuck on the road when these storms hit," the NWS said.

EAGAN, MN — The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch that includes Dakota County. The watch remains valid through 9 p.m. Tuesday.
"This is a particularly dangerous situation," the watch states. "Several strong tornadoes" and "scattered hail up to softball size" are both "likely."
Additionally, the NWS expects "widespread gusts up to 90 mph."

Strong storms are expected to move into the entire Twin Cities metro area right around rush hour and will produce very heavy rain, strong winds, and possibly a tornado.
"This will be a good day to get home early if you can, and avoid being stuck on the road when these storms hit," the NWS added.
