EAGAN, MN — The Minnesota Vikings cut veteran wide receiver Adam Thielen from their roster on Friday morning, the club announced. Thielen's contract would have cost the Vikings nearly $20 million for 2023. The Minnesota native and graduate from the state university in Mankato was signed by the Vikings as an undrafted free agent in 2013. He went on to become a Minnesota icon, and leaves the Vikings third in team history in receptions (534) and receiving touchdowns (55) and fourth in receiving yards (6,682).
