EAGAN, MN — Adam Thielen is coming home. The Vikings and Carolina Panthers are finalizing a trade to send the veteran wide receiver back to Minnesota, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Wednesday.

The trade will send Thielen, a conditional 2026 seventh-round pick, and a 2027 fifth-round pick to the Vikings, according to Schefter.

In exchange, the Panthers will receive a 2026 fifth-round pick and a 2027 fourth-round pick.

Thielen, 34, played for the Vikings from 2013 to 2022 before signing with Carolina in 2023. A Detroit Lakes native and Minnesota State graduate, he became one of the league’s top receivers after joining the Vikings as an undrafted free agent.

Now, after two seasons in Carolina, Thielen is headed back to the team where he built his career.
