Redistricting Maps Released

On Tuesday, Feb. 15, the Minnesota Special Redistricting Panel released its redistricting maps for Minnesota's congressional and legislative districts. Redistricting occurs every 10 years after each census count and is the process of redrawing the boundaries of election districts with the goal of having them all be equal in population.

First, the entirety of Eden Prairie will continue to be represented by one U.S. House District (3). Secondly, all of Eden Prairie will now encompass only one Minnesota Senate District instead of being a part of two Districts. Previously, the Golden Triangle (northeastern) area of the City also comprised a small portion of another Senate District to the east with its respective House seat. We will also be represented by two Minnesota House Districts (49A and 49B) within the one Senate District (49).

2022 Empty Bowls Event

The City Council has declared Feb. 22, 2022, as "Empty Bowls Day" in Eden Prairie in honor of PROP's annual event to raise awareness and funding to combat hunger in Eden Prairie and Chanhassen. Please consider participating in the 2022 Empty Bowls event to support the vital work PROP does in the community every day.
