Safely Dispose of Unwanted Medication

The City has free home medication disposal bags that can be picked up at Eden Prairie City Center in the Police Department (8080 Mitchell Road) Monday–Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Each bag provides for the disposal of up to 45 pills, six ounces of liquid medication or six transdermal patches. The bags contain activated carbon that neutralizes the medication and prevents it from contaminating ground and drinking water. Funding for the bags comes from the Eden Prairie Crime Prevention Fund. Please note, the Eden Prairie Police Department does not accept medication drop-offs. Hennepin County has drop box locations to safely dispose of large or small quantities of medication.

Hiring Duty Crew Firefighters and More

An Eden Prairie Fire Department duty crew firefighter promotes fire education and prevention, suppresses fires and provides emergency rescue services throughout our community. Having previous firefighter experience or education is not a requirement. Applications are due Feb. 9. Additionally, the City has various other part-time and full-time employment opportunities. Visit edenprairie.org/Employment to see all openings and apply.
