Winter Blast

Embrace and celebrate winter at Eden Prairie's Winter Blast tomorrow, Jan. 8 from 2 to 4:30 p.m. at Staring Lake Park. There will be a variety of fun outdoor activities for all ages including kicksledding, ice skating, arts and crafts, a visit from Anna and Elsa from Arendelle, and so much more. City Council Accepts Race Equity Report and Recommendations

At its Tuesday, Jan. 4 meeting, the Eden Prairie City Council accepted the City’s Race Equity Report. The report, which was drafted by the Human Rights and Diversity Commission (HRDC) in conjunction with a project consultant and City staff, outlines recommendations to make Eden Prairie a more equitable and inclusive community. The goal of creating the report was to identify ways the City can create and strengthen community relationships, encourage shared decision-making and minimize disparities wherever possible. City Commission Recruitment

The City Council values the input of residents and provides opportunities for participation through six advisory commissions. Eden Prairie residents are invited to learn more and apply for these commissions online at edenprairie.org/Commissions.

Tuesday, March 1: City Council appoints commission members
Late March: City commission orientation
April 1: Commission terms begin

The next two City Council workshops are dedicated to City commission work plans. Commission members will review 2021 accomplishments and present 2022 work plans to the City Council.
