Citywide Open House

Come to the all-outdoors Citywide Open House Saturday, Oct. 9 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the City Center. Get an up-close and personal look at what it takes to operate a city of nearly 65,000 residents and 3,000 businesses. Highlights include exhibits, demonstrations, City vehicles and equipment, and more.

Stop at the Sustainable Eden Prairie table where Eden Prairie residents can enter for a chance to win a Google Nest thermostat or Rachio irrigation controller. The first 100 residents who stop by will receive an Xcel Energy LED lighting kit (limit one kit per household).

Affordable Housing and Mental Health Presentation

On Wednesday, Oct. 13 the League of Women Voters of Minnetonka, Eden Prairie and Hopkins invites the public to attend a presentation on the overlapping issues of affordable housing and mental health. This free event is taking place at the Hopkins Fire Department, 101 17th Avenue S., from 6 to 8 p.m. No reservations are needed. For more information visit lwvmeph.org.

Organics Recycling Coming Soon

Beginning Nov. 1, 2021, all residential trash haulers licensed in Eden Prairie are required to offer curbside organics recycling services to most households within the City, except for multifamily properties with shared waste collection. Service is provided on a subscription basis similar to yard waste collection. Learn more at edenprairie.org/Organics.
