Eden Prairie Basketball Team Finishes Fourth at State
Edina beat the Eagles in the Class AAAA third place game Saturday.

The Eden Prairie boys basketball team lost 84-49 to Edina Saturday afternoon in the Class AAAA third place state basketball game.
The game summary, according to the Minnesota State High School League:
Edina finished in third place at the 2013 Class AAAA MSHSL Boys' State Basketball Tournament. They shot 56.9% from the field with 40 points in the paint to take an 84-49 win over Eden Prairie.

Edina guard Graham Woodward nailed a three-point shot to put his team up 9-6 at the 15:18 mark of the first half and the Hornets never trailed for the remainder of the game. The halftime score gave Edina a 33-23 edge, a margin that continued to grow in the second half of play.
Both teams controlled the ball well and had minimal turnovers. The difference in the game came from field goal efficiency and an Edina 37-28 rebounding edge.
Woodward shined for Edina, shooting 11-of-20 from the field to lead all players with 29 points. He also had six rebounds and eight assists. Reggie Lynch added 22 points to the Edina cause and topped all players with 10 rebounds.
Eden Prairie guard Sam Johnson led his team with 15 points. He was the only Eagles player to finish in double figures for scoring. The team shot 32.1% from the field.
