Eden Prairie Man Charged with Multiple Felony Domestic Assaults

Police believe an Eden Prairie man asaulted his girlfriend and has numerous prior domestic-related convictions, as well as another felony domestic assault charge active in the court system. 

Earle Goodwin Hanson Jr., 27, has been charged with three felonies: two counts of domestic assault and one count of terroristic threats.

On March 13, Eden Prairie Police were dispatched to an apartment on Magnolia Trail after a neighbor heard screaming. Reports allege that Hanson grabbed a knife out of a butcher block and walked toward the victim as if he would stab her with it.

On Feb. 25, police believe the victim was hit on the side of the head with a 5-pound dumbbell and assaulted on the arms, back and legs causing mulitple bruises. 

Police investigation revealed that Hanson has three prior qualified domestic violence-related convictions.
