Eden Prairie Polar Plunge is Saturday
The event at Riley Lake will benefit the Special Olympics. Kevin Love of the Minnesota Timberwolves will participate, as will Ian Leonard from FOX 9.

Eden Prairie residents will do a selfless act Saturday by jumping into Riley Lake—very cold Riley Lake.
The sixth Eden Prairie Polar Plunge will benefit the Special Olympics, according to the Police Department blog. "Law enforcement officers are considered to be the 'Guardians' of the 'Flame of Hope' which is lit during the Opening Ceremonies of the Special Olympics games each summer."
In previous years, more than 1,500 people have raised $309,000 in Eden Prairie, according to the blog. More than 400 have signed up this year.
